Office XP shortcut bar appears twice--how to eliminate one?

I have a Dell computer with a fresh install of Windows XP. After installing
MSOffice XP and restarting, the Office XP shortcut bar starts up, and appears
twice. If you try to close one, they both close.

How do I eliminate the extra shortcut bar?
