Hello all,
I have been using Office XP with the shortcurt bar installed for over a
year without any problems. OS is WinXP Pro (SP1).
Suddenly, every single button on the Office shortcut bar has stopped
working. Whenever I click on a button, a message box opens up saying:
"Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not
have the appropriate permissions to access the items." This message
box's titlebar displays the correct path to the exe file -- except when
I click the buttons for Word or Excel, when it displays "Microsoft
Office Shortcut Bar".
I have not changed anything as far as I know. Nor have I logged in as
another user, I am the only user and have administrator rights. I can
run the programs the shortcut-bar buttons link to without any problems
from the Start menu or from desktop shortcuts.
I did upgrade recently to the latest version of ZoneAlarm Pro (the
firewall) but am not sure that the problem cropped up immediately
after.
What could be going on?
