Office XP shortcut bar will launch and look OK, but clicking on any of the
icons produces Windows dialog to select program to run an EXE file with -
not normal.
Every Office app acts the same way. Clicking the icon on the toolbar causes
windows to ask how I want to run an exe. Yet if I open the folder where the
shortcut icons actually reside and run them, no problem.
Also, loading the desktop bar into the shortcut bar draws the icons per the
current desktop, but clicking any single one causes the icon's button to
stay down and then Windows freezes except for mouse movement - no keyboard,
no mouse clicks.
AFAIK, this worked well before I went to officeupdate.com and ran the "Check
for Updates".
Any way to fix this???
