OFFICE XP-Small Business edition

Surf

Acquired Office XP small business edition with new laptop.
Now need to use PowerPoint. I think UPGRADE pricing would
be appropriate in this situation.
However, MS website- seems to say PAY FULL PRICE.
Only prior Office versions are listed as qualifying for
Upgrade pricing on this component.
I hope this is just a mistake.
Will some-one from Microsoft respond to this Post??

Hi, Surf,

You're not likely to get a Microsoft response in a peer support newsgroup...

The information that I've seen confirms what you say. However, you can
purchase just PowerPoint standalone without buying an entire suite again.

For definitive information on licensing from a Microsoft person, call
1-800-426-9400, Monday through Friday, 6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. (Pacific time)
and ask to speak directly to a Microsoft licensing specialist. (Worldwide
customers can use the Guide to Worldwide Microsoft Licensing Sites to find
contact information in their locations.)

I've called them and have had good luck speaking with a real person for
free.
