Office XP Small Business Edition

If I purchase a computer from Staples, I have the option
of upgrading to Office XP Small business. Is it
upgradable? IE: When Office 2005 (for example) comes out,
will I be able to purchase the upgrade, or will I need a
full version?

Hi Alan,

If you purchase a retail copy of MS Office XP now,
(the Small Business Edition of Office XP is an OEM
[preinstalled] only), you will be able to get
Office 2003 for the cost of shipping

For OEM (pre-installed) copies check to see what the
PC supplier's policy is for providing the Office 2003
upgrade. Office 2003 Small Business Edition includes
MS Powerpoint. MS Office XP Small Business Edition does not.

Retail (boxed) copies can be installed on a desktop and
a laptop computer. OEM (preinstalled copies) are licensed
for only the original computer where used.
