Office XP sounds: Word & PPT

W

Walter Donavan

I have a daily-use PPT presentation with a hyperlink to a Word document.
After following that link (which I also use to edit the Word document), PPT
sounds are turned off. I have to turn them back on in PPT Options.

Similarly, Word XP's Office 97 sounds (which I use in addition to the Office
XP sounds) often go away. Sometimes I can recover them in Word Options;
frequently they must be reinstalled.

Any solutions? Or am I stuck?

Hi Walter,

You're referring to the 'feedback with sound'
setting in Word and Powerpoint?

The Office 97 and Office XP sound add-in should
be the same package, except for the installer recognition
of which version you're using.

What versions of Office and Office family apps are you
running and what Windows version and update level are
you using?

Hi Bob,

I apologize for the delay in replying to your post.

Let me poke around this some more. If the sounds for OXP and O97 are the
same, I should just be using the OXP sounds.

Thanks, as always.
