office XP SP-1 wants a different CD

I am a college professor. About 11/01 I installed Office
XP Professional from a CD available in my college library
for faculty. Later (about 4/02) I decided to buy the
software because I thought I could get upgrades etc. by
doing so. I purchased the academic version but never
installed it because the copy I had on my machine was
working fine. Recently I began having problems with
files not opening when I double clicked the doc. icons.
The application would launch and try to install something
that it couldn't find. I would cancel out and have to
double click the doc. icon again in order to open the
file. So, after struggling with it for awhile, I decided
to reinstall office XP Professional from the package I
had purchased back in 4/02. Intallation went OK.
However, when I now try to get the service pack 1 update,
the process halts because it wants a cd with FrontPage on
it. My academic version doesn't have FrontPage in it. I
think this must be the problem.? What shall I do?
Thanks

Do you have FrontPage installed on your computer {perhaps from the library
CD}? FrontPage is part of the Office family. Office Update will provide
your with changes that apply to FrontPage if installation is detected, but
you need the original CD to install the changes.

If FrontPage is installed, uninstall to correct your problem. If you need
FrontPage, I think it is also available with an academic license.
