Office XP SP3 downloaded but now my computer keeps crashing

I downloaded SP3 for office XP but now my computer keeps crashing when I do
anything in Excel. For example I tried to bold something with CTL+B and it
caused Excel to crash and the recovered document has lost everything back to
the last save. Is anyone else having this problem?
