I'm running Office XP on Win XP Pro. All of the Office apps show 'SP3' in
the Help>About Microsoft ... drop down menu.
Having recently downloaded the Office XP SP3 update (what I thought was
successfully), my automatic update icon on the task bar is continually
telling me it still needs to be dowloaded.
I let it go through the process, which it did OK, but it screwed up my
shortcut bar. Having got that back to normal, the only way I've found to
stop things is to tell the updater to ignore the SP3 update.
I've been to the Office update website and it says there is an update
waiting of 0Kb / 0mins and it recommends I let the update finish - but I've
done all
that!!
How can I get auto updater to recognise that Office XP SP3 has been
installed?
