Office XP SP3

I cannot install SP3 for Office XP. I don't have my disk, but I used the
full file version, as suggested by the website. Part way through
installation, I am told "The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or
other removable disk that is not available. Insert the 'Microsoft Office XP
Professional' disk and click OK" When I click browse hoping it will be in
the folder I saved the full file to, I am told that the file name it is
looking for is PRORET and the file type is Installation Package (*.msi). I
thought that using the full file version (a 57.5 MB file!!!) was supposed to
fix this problem. HELP!!!

Hi Kristina,

The use of the fullfile replacement version of the update
will help minimize the need for the CDs, but the MS Installer
expects to always have access to the original installation point
or media to, for example, repair any issues in the Office installation
prior to updating.
