office xp startup problems

Every time I start an Office XP product, Office goes into
installation mode. Office then runs a series of dialogue
boxes which eventually end up to a box asking me to insert
the installation disc. Problem I do not have the
installation disc because I am using the version provided
by my university. Unfortunately the disc I used is no
longer available.

Anyway, when I cancel out of the installer process the
office product works but will be missing a feature such as
automatic load when I click on a document.

Here is the error message I receive when I try to proceed
with fixing the problem.

Product: Microsoft Office XP Professional with FrontPage --
Error 1706. Setup cannot find the required files. Check
your connection to the network, or CD-ROM drive. For other
potential solutions to this problem, see C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\1033\SETUP.HLP .

Is there any way to overide this installation process or
fix the problem without the original installation disc?

If you do not have access to the original administrative installation, then

use is on a network resource that is unavailable" error message when you
click a feature in an Office 2003 program. Unfortunately the only way to fix
it requires the Office XP CD.
