Office XP stop responding when insert picture from file

Hello,

I have Office XP pro SP3.

When I choose insert-> picture -> from file:

Open dialog appears and My Pictures-folder is chosen,
If I change folder, program (Word and Excel) freezes and I have to kill that
application and lost my job.

A suggestion, try detect and repair under the Help Menu.
