Office XP System Restore

I am uncertain as to whether or not System Restore is working properly. It
offers me system restore points to restore to but when I attempt to restore
to them the HD LED flashes for 15 or 20 seconds or so then stops. The
restore screen does not change and the computer does not restart as suggested
by the system restore screen. Any way of confirming that the system did in
fact restore to an earlier point by looking at logs?

Office doesn't HAVE a "restore" function - Windows does however. Might be an
idea to post this in a WINDOWS group rather than an Office one?

Sorry, for that. Just a old guy trying to keep up with all you young folk. I
will do as you suggest.
