Office XP toolbar - Applications don't open

MS Office applications do not open when clicked on the toolbar. They used
to work, but have since stopped. They open correctly from the
Start;Programs menu.

I checked the properties on the toolbar shortcuts and they are correct.

Using W2K, Office XP.

Any suggestions?

Can you right click in an empty area of the toolbar and select Refresh? Does
this help?

I just tried it, and it did not restore the funtionality of the icons.

Try loading TweakUI from Microsoft Windows site and then use the repair
Icons and Associations buttons.
