I get the following message when checking for Office updates...

NOTE: Detection shows that Office products on your computer have been
updated by your Office product administrator from the administrative
installation point on a server. This means that you should not update
Office products yourself. If you are an Office product administrator,
please visit the Office Resource Kit for more information.

Office has never been updated from an administrative installation
point, how do I change this so I can update Office locally?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi, Richard,

Did you perform the Office installation yourself, or was it pre-installed by
your computer manufacturer?

Rich,

Did you install from a CD or from a network share? If it was from a network
share, then you'd need to patch the network share.

If it was from a CD, have you ever successfully used Office Update to detect
updates for this version of Office? Have you tried to repair the
installation by running setup again?
