Office XP update and sp2

Here's a good one, or two. I have a new Office XP
installation and 1. The automated online update fails and
2. I cannot install SP2 (error msg: Office Hotfix
Installer encountered a problem).
I can't wait for Linux to get better; Microsoft's products
are just a barrel of problems!

Hi Craig,

There have been some problems with Office XP Service Pack 2 (SP2)
when trying to install it online via http://officeupdate.com

MS has now changed the download size and type as mentioned in
this article. The bad news - a larger download, the good news -
you won't need your Office XP CD for this particular Service
Pack via Officeupdate.

Please let us know if this change helps. (You may still
have trouble if you have Norton Internet Security or similar
product active when using http://officeupdate.com
