office xp update cure?

ok well i may have the answer to the stalled at 40 %
update problem-if you people are running Norton internet
security head to the advanced options,active content and
enable 'allow all scripts to execute'-seems to have fixed
things for me

I have Norton's Personal Firewall 2003, & I disabled it,
and tryed to update, but still stalled at 40% for me
still??????
