Office XP Update

When I use the office update site, it finds and downloads
updates ok. BUT when it installs, it asks for the Office
2000 Professional Disc 2 (which I haven't got). I used
the full file install on the service packs, but the ones
for the smaller updates give me tha same error. Any
ideas? Thanx Much

Dan Jankowski,
No matter the version, you need your original Office cd's at hand for upgrades/updates...

I've got the CD for Office XP. Problem is, the updater
wants the one for Office 2000.

Office 2000 Professional CD 2 included separate installed applications such
as Publisher 2000. If you installed a version of Office XP which did not
include the applications on Office 2000 Professional CD 2 which you
installed, then those applications were left intact on your system.

If the above it true, the update site is likely trying to update those
application.

If your Office XP is an upgrade version, then your Office 2000 CDs are part
of your license.
