Hi Chris,
Check in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows control panel.
If you still have any MS Office XP/2002 family products left, such
as Frontpage 2002 or Publisher 2002 that aren't in your current
Office 2003 edition then the
http://officeupdate.com site will
continue to show the needed updates for those.
Office 2003 updates are separate and do not update the Office XP
files except where they may use 'only the latest' version of a particular
shared file. Oldest to newest updating is generally preferred, but
the patches in the updates shouldn't, generally, 'step' on each other.
If your company installed Office from an Office Admin Point on the
server you may want to check with your administrator on their
policy and practice for updating.
========
When I run the update scan for Office 2003, it shows my machine needs many Office XP updates. OK...now for the stupid question of
the week...Do I really need those? I'm somewhat concerned because the system is running 2003, I don't want to cause any
conflicts/problems.
If I do need them, should I run them before I run the new 2003 critical update? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
(I'm a little gun-shy about putting in my corporate email account, please just reply to the forum.) >>
