Office XP Upgrade Won't Install

J

John Francis

I had an old version of Office. I purchased the XP upgrade
months ago and installed it, no problem.

Then my drive crashed and I lost everything. I am now
rebuilding my system, but Office will not install because
it is an UPGRADE copy and there is "no qualifying
application found" on my hard drive to upgrade.

Is there a way out of this short of making Billy richer?

Any and all help appreciated.

You should be able to install if you have ANY 'qualifying application' Apart
from yr original 'old' copy of Office this may include Word or Works if you
check on MS site there is information as to exactly what comprises a
qualifying app.

i.e. you'll have to put your 'old' software back on before you can Upgrade
it.
