Office XP Upgrade

I purchased Office XP SBE pre-loaded with my pc through
Dell. I purchased the upgrade Office XP Professional
from Dell. I can not get the updates installed because
of Error #1608. It does not recognize or find
a "qualifying" product. I have spent 4 days with Dell.
They have not been able to help. Trust you can

You cannot upgrade your Office XP SBE with Office Pro Upgrade as it is
considered a cross-grade installation and is not supported. Dell should
know better than that.

You can contact Dell and ask them to take back the SBE and Upgrade versions
and provide you with the full version - it should only cost a bit more than
the upgrade and SBE combined, if at all.
