Office XP use on two different machine

Have Gateway computer using XP Office and need to get
Office XP on to new Toshiba laptop.

using MS web site is simply too frustrating although it
says I can use on one desktop and one laptop. Tel.
activation seems impossible to use, any help or direction
appreciated.
