Office XP version 2002 should have had a clearer eula

Hi,

My name is Brad. I am currently a full-time student and so is my fiancé.
We recently purchased a laptop for us to use for study purposes and were
hoping to use the great Office software that you provide. I have Office XP
Professional which I bought a year or two ago and am running it on my Desktop
PC. We didn't have enough money to buy MSOffice when we bought the laptop
but I noticed that the latest version of Office (Academic) has a licence for
up to 3 computers.

My question is: Is it legal for me to install my Office XP Professional
version 2002 (Academic) on our laptop or not?

thankyou very much for your assistance,

brad
