Office XP Web Components Update 11/21/2003

I am having a problem with the latest download of
OWC10.EXE from 11/21/2003, related to a security patch.
After installing this, the Excel sheets in my html pages
do not display properly until the user passes the mouse
over them. In some cases, they display as an almost
invisible small box, in other cases they display with
large blank gray areas. In the first case, the
spreadsheet appears when the user passes the mouse over
the small box. In the second case, the gray area
disappears when the user passes the mouse over the
spreadsheet.

Has anyone else had problems with this, and is there a
resolution?

I am having similar problems. When the IT group pushed
out Office XP SP-2 to all the clients, my spreadsheet
components appear with the Export to Excel button (and
others) disabled. I reinstalled owc10 11/21/2003 on the
web server but this made no difference. Any help is
appreciated.

I see from your previous post that uninstalling doesn't help. I would
recommend that you make microsoft aware of these problem immediately by
following this link
https://webresponse.one.microsoft.com/oas/public/assistedintro.aspx

There is a way to manually roll it back but, alas, it's very tedious and
microsoft could probably provide you with a hotfix to solve your problem
with less hassle.

posting problems in here does not make it up the *repair chain
(most of the times - I don't want any MS persons yelling at me either for
the previous statement)
