Office XP & Windows 98-Remove Text Speech?

If you install Office XP Under XP there is a way to
disable the "Text Services and Speech" However you can
also install Office XP under Windows 98 but I can't figure
out how to disable the Text services, It is a resource
Hog.. Anyone got any ideas.. Thanks.. Lou
