Sysprep
Created 'master image'. Ran SYSPREP(including SID changer). Ghosted
to the server.
Deployed newly created image to new hardware, and Outlook desktop icon
was missing. I read
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;281085 but, if
you read that closely, that is a win2k fix, not a winxp fix. (there
is no such registry key in XP)
I tried the fix anyway, and when prompted to insert my Office XP CD,
and promped for the CD key, error message is "You have not entered a
valid product key. Check the number located on your Certificate of
Authenticity or on the yellow sticker on the back of your cd case."
I used the 'magicjellybean' keyfinder to verify i was indeed typing in
the correct CD Key, but I am unable to continue. What gives with
sysprep invalidating my office CD key??
I am stumped! help!!
Thanks in advance.
