Office XP, word,excel, and outlook

When I try to open a document (wether i'm in word, excel,
or outlook)it takes a long time to open the drive letter
or network mapped drive, folder ETC. Looking for a file
can take upto 3 minutes. It pauses every time I drill
down the directory or folder. I have installed sp1, and
sp2 thinking that will resolve the problem but with no
luck. Can somebody help me?

This sounds more like a problem with your operating system
than with Word. I'd try chekcing in an appropriate WINDOWS
newsgroup. Be sure to mention the OS you're using.
