Office XP Word will not close

R

Ruben

When we try to close Office XP SBE Word w/SP3, the file
does close but the application will not close. We
receive a fatal error report. We have to open task
manager and end the Winword Process in order for Word to
close.

We have tried a repair and a uninstall/install. We
cannot do a system restore because the system restore was
turned off.

Any help on fixing this problem is very much appreciated.

What happens when you start Word in Safe Mode? Does it not close in Safe
Mode? Do you have Outlook open?
