I have recently noticed that the Delete Key on my Keyboard will not delete
the high lighted areas in Word Documents. Any delete I have to do is by going
thru EDIT / CUT process.

My first reaction was the "Delete" Key on my Keyboard has a problem.

However, I noticed that when I was working with an XL file the Delete Key is
working. I tried the key in other softwares such as Adobe, Word Perfect,
AutoCad and even on this page. There is no problem with the Key.
So it must be some setting in the Word that has blocked the use of the
Delete Key.

Any suggestion?

Tools > Options > General > uncheck the two Word Perfect options.
