I'm trying to re-install Office X on another Macintosh system, but I keep
getting an error saying that either the product ID or seriial number is
alreading running on another system.
Can I run Office on more that one system at home (systems are on a
network)?
If so what do I need to do?

Thanks

Your license allows you to install Office v.X on one desktop and one
laptop. The apps cannot be used at the same time when the machines
are networked.

If you're interested in removing the PID from one machine, look here:

Actually I saw another reply by you suggesting the above, however I was
only able to find the Microsoft Office Settings (10) which I removed, but
I couldn't find the OfficePID, I did follow your instructions.

I did noticed that after removing the Office Settings file from the
original system, I was then able to run Office on the new laptop, and as
soon as I started word on the original system, then I would get
infamous error/warning "The Installation of Microsoft exceeds the
number of installations permitted by the license agreement".

So, as long as the Office on the original system (PMG4) is inactive or the
settings is removed then I can run it on the second system.

The two systems need to be networked because they are sharing
printers. Which is another problem I am dealing with, if they are
networked on two separate networks, wireless and wired.

Thanks

It's there - you may want to go in through the Terminal - it will
reside in your Microsoft Office X:Office folder. But if you're
going to use Office on both systems, you should get another license.
