office07, outlook. Ulti ed Massive screen and keyboard lock 5sec

i have just installed office ultimate ed on my vissta dell laptop. m1210/
2ghz/2gb mem/256mb vid card (nvidia). VISTA HOME
After a week of use (no exchange server connection) I now get 4-10 sec lag
inside the windows of outlook. The keyboard does not stay up with my typing
and I TYPE SLOOOOOW. WTF?
Plz help Or this is going in the trash and I am going to rip the OS and the
Office off and put xp pro back in and I'll get a copy of

Not to get you even more frustrated but... you're asking in the wrong place.
