Office97 install on WinXP

Can I run Office 97 on a Windows XP SP2 machine? I get an error message at
the end of the installation process ("Htmlmarq.ocx was unable to register
itself in the system registry.") and the installation fails.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
