Officee 2007 installs and configures every launch

I am running Windows Vista (32) with Office Enterprise 2007 on a brand new
Dell laptop. Every time I open an Office 2007 application, a message box
pops up "please wait while Microsoft Configures Office 2007" and then
proceeds to run just fine. How can I make it stop installing and configuring
every time I launch an application? It also does it when I send an email
from Outlook. Highly annoying. My Dell desktop (64bit Vista) runs Office
Enterprise 2007 and doesn't have this issue. I do not have Office 2003
installed on either machine.

Appreciate any advice.

Please clear up the following which I do not understand before we can answer your
question.

You say you are running Office Enterprise on your Dell desktop which runs OK. But
the Office Enterprise has issues on the new Dell Laptop.

Did you install Office Enterprise on your laptop which is also installed on your
Desktop? And from where did you get Office Enterprise from?

I purchased the Office from Microsoft via my home use program benefit through
my employer.

I have the same problem with a Dell and Office Enterprise on Vista. After
many tries I have a "work around". This is not a solution to the main
problem, but have tried many things that don't work.
Delete any icons on the desktop from Office. Then go and find any one of
the applications exe file. For instance "winword". Drag it to the desktop
and create a new icon. Opening Word or Outlook from this new icon or
directly from the file will open without any "reinstall" issues. If you open
off the start menu you will still get the same message. You can do this with
all the office applications.

Thanks vonalter - appreciate it. I have researched and found that as a work
around as well. Sure would be nice to figure out what is causing the issue
though.
