OfficeXP does not include Publisher?

I went to purchase officeXP today. I see OfficeXP does not include MS
Publisher in any edition :-(
Is this true? Is MS Publisher now only avaiale as a seperate product?

If yes, can I leave Publisher2000 installed from my office2000 installation
and then install OfficeXP?

It is true that Publisher 2002 is not included in any retail version of
Office XP.
You can leave Publisher 2000 installed and use it.

Office 2003 Professional will again include Publisher in the retail version
{Oct 21}, but you must be using a compatible operating system such as
Windows XP.

One thing I am still not 100% clear on is: My current installed version of
publisher2000 is part of my installed Office2000.

Since publisher2000 is part of office2000 I have to leave office2000
installed if I want to keep publisher2000. Can I install OfficeXP while
Office2000 is still installed and then will Publisher2000 and OfficeXp work
fine?

Yes you can keep Publisher 2000 while having Office XP installed.

When you run Office setup, the installer will detect your Office 2000 and
ask if you want it removed. Choose Yes. The installer will then remove the
Office 2000 applications that are on your Office XP CD and leave those, such
as Publisher 2000, that are not being replaced.

If for some reason the above process fails and Publisher 2000 is remove,
just run Office 2000 setup and select Custom and choose to install only
Publisher.

In Office 2000, Publisher is on CD #2, If you need to reinstall Publisher
run setup on CD #2 not CD#1.
