Offline Address Books driving me crazy!!

I've been struggling with this previous post for a while now:
***Go to the Offline Address List (Default Offline Address List if you
haven't created one manually) | Properties | General tab. In the list of
Address Lists that are included in that OAB, check if "All Contacts" is
listed. If not, add it - click Add | Find, will list all Address Lists.
Rebuild the OAB. Download the new OAB in Outlook and check if you have All
Contacts.

I do that, and had done that already acutally. But when offline, I still
only see the GAL. However, when I'm in Outlook if I go to "Download Address
Book" and choose another one of the many I've listed (from under ALL
CONTACTS), then THAT becomes the one that is available offline.

Now I'm reading in KB article 841273 that the OAB only supports one
"container".

I guess I'm wondering why Exchange give you the ability to add multiple
address lists to the Default Offline Address List properties if you can only
view one at a time Offline using Outlook.
I'd love a better answer. I set all of these address books up in leiu of
using Public Folder Address Books because it was less maintenance. But if
you can't break them down offline it's all for nothing.

Is there any help anyone can offer??
