I have a user who is having no success trying to get his
Outlook 2000 to synchronize with Offline folder files. We
are running Exchange 5.5 on an NT4 network and his laptop
is running Windows XP. The error message he keeps getting
is:
Error Synchronizing Folder (Inbox)
[80004005-501-0-550]
The operation failed
Microsoft Exchange Server Information Store
For more information on this failure, click the URL below:
http://www.microsoft.com/support/proredirect/outlook2000_us
..asp?err=80004005-501-0-550
Which I've done and gone through all the steps but he's
still getting the same error. One note is that one of the
remedies mentioned is to replace damaged Exchange Server
Support Files, and they reference Emsabp32.dll,
Emsmdb32.dll, Emsui32.dll and Emsuix32.dll, asking you to
rename them then reinstall Outlook to get fresh copies. On
XP, curiously enough, there is no Emsuix32.dll. Maybe this
is the problem? Have they replaced this with another file
I need to rename? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
