OK3 SP1 french version error

Hi there!

Unable to install the french version of SP1. The only message i get is "
Unable to install service pack" (in French of course).

Uninstalling the Web component did not help..... Has anyone a better idea?

Cyril, please provide more information so we can assist you. What version of Office and windows are you running? Have you been able to use the Office Update site in the past? Is that the exact and only error text you see?

Also, try installing from the Download Center
(http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...FamilyID=9C51D3A6-7CB1-4F61-837E-5F938254FC47).
Installing from this location will cause installation logs to be generated
in the '%temp%\ohotfix' folder. While the log files can be large, if you
compress them into a Zip file, the file size is much more reasonable
(usually about 80kb) and can be attached to a newsgroup post.

That's the only message I get. The files are being decompressed,
installation starts and then stop and I get a message saying that "The
update cannot be applied". I've tried office online as well and it stops at
step 4, telling me that the update cannot be applied.
I am using XP SP1 and Office 2003 small business + Infopath 2003.

NO log file can be found on the temp folder, and the event viewer report 1
error and 1 info:

I finally made it.
Had to uninstall everything but office sbs 2003
Apply the patch
re-install Infopath 2003
Apply the patch
re-install Frontpage 2003
Apply the patch

Now who said the MS service pack where easy to apply???
