Okay..this is getting rediculous! Office and Printer issues

I had originally posted a question concerning not being able to open-run or
edit snapshot reports. I found the root cause with zero help from the groups.
No problem, not everyone can spend all day answering stupid questions. I have
determined that all Office apps are not seeing anyone of several printers
available on the local network. Notepad will print to any of them, but Access
refuses to "see" any printer. I can not install a "Local" printer as this db
is running on a 2kserver in a dataroom that users can not access. I need to
be able to output snapshot reports as well as actually print documents, so
the MS Office Image writer will not meet the needs. Office has been removed
and re-installed. Print spooler service restarted, printers removed and
re-installed....still with no results. This sounds a lot like a bug. Anyone
have a clue?

Why dont you try cross posting to an o/s, and perhaps Access, specific ng,
as your problem seems rather more than a general office Q

DL,
I posted to Access.Reports first, with no response. Then Access General
Questions, and finally Office General Questions. Your response was the only
one received. I did, however, manage to narrow down the root cause of the
issue, which is Office seems to require a PCL printer driver, rather than a
post-script printer driver. What is really maddening is the lack of
information as it pertains to troubleshooting this type of issue. Thanks for
your response. DT
