OL 2002 Old Bug - duplicate messages when leaveing email copy

Hi,

I have a problem using outlook 2002 sp3. I setup a pop server and click the
leave a copy of email on the server option on the outlook client. The email
client works fine for the first day. However, the next day it receives
duplicate messages from server. It receives some but not all messages from
the server.

I google on the internet and find that a lot of users have the similar
problem and there is still no solution I can find.

Question
1. Any good solution?
2. Any 2nd choice solution to avoid the problem like a client side pop3
proxy software?
3. Any find it happen in OL 2003? When can Microsoft staff fix it?

Did you trace back the issue to Outlook? Most often the issue is not caused
by Outlook itself but by a virusscanner that does an incoming mail scan.
Disable all applications that integrate with Outlook and do scans on
messages (thing anti-virus, anti-spam and synch software). Also; is this the
only account you've got configured in Outlook?

I check the client. It's using norton with no mail scanner.

There is no problem with outlook 2k or outlook express. As I upgrade the
outlook from 2k to 2002. I decided to shift back to outlook 2k.
