OL 2003 Calender willl not open

I opened my OL 2003 this am and got a message
saying there was a problem with the reminders
....the outlook.pst could nt be accessed. the handle is
invalid. I can not access my calender Any ideas?

Just to be sure I understand, You CAN open
Outlook and see other folders, and access email. It is only
when you try to access the Calendar that you get an error?
What is the exact wording in the error that you get?
