Turn on diagnostic logging (tools->options->other->advanced) and see what it
says after your next send/receive. If you like, you can post the relevant

How to ask a question:

After furious head scratching, boyshanks asked:
| My ISP says nothing is wrong on their end.
|
| We go through all of the cycling, rebooting, pinging etc to see if
| there is a connection problem however on their end there is no
| problem. This is further proved by my deskstop which is connected to
| the same ISP service and has no Outlook server connection issues.
|
| They do not troubleshoot Outlook issues.
|
| Is there a way to for me to make/cause Outlook to contact the server
| when it doesn't do it on it's own?
|
| I thought the answer might be in the local services folder because in
| that folder I can make my print spooler connect but other than that I
| don't know anything about that folder.
|
| Thanks in advance.
