OL 2007 Forced Close of Program

Sometimes when I open a word-doc attached to an email, OL & the document
hang. I'll then close the hanging doc, OL then goes through a forced close,
re-opens and I can then open the attachment with no issue. I use XP and
Office 2007.

Thoughts?
