My OL 2007, so trusty for over a year, has become unstable to the point of
being impossible to use. A month ago I noticed that when using my Laptop
(Vista) on a wireless network (at home I'm wired to a LAN) precisely at
random moments OL stops responding and has to shut down and restart. Whether
it is downloading mail or just sitting still while I'm thinking doesn't seem
to matter. I'm having to use my browser to look at email as OL is flakey in
downloading mail. Sad.
I've researched the problem on the knowledge base and found the one hotfix
for a similar problem. SP1 has been intstalled which includes this fix. As
far as I know both Vista and Office have all updates installed.
The size of the .PST is 750MB. It is the only .PST on my system. I've not
tried to use scanpst.exe due to other posts indicating problelms. I have
used the Repair facility for Office with no change.
I've run out of ideas. There has got to be some kindo of conflict in my
machine as no one I work with is having the same problem. Any help you could
provide would be greatly appreciated.
