OL03 contact forms dissassociating from folders

i try to open a contact and oulook can't find the installed form. the form
is listed in "when posting use...". and shows in the forms management as
associated with this folder. forms work for the main contact folder, but not
(today) for any of the sub folders. yesterday it was just one subfolder that
was messed up. they worked ok a few days ago. today all. what is going on?

Are these folders in a .pst file, an Exchange mailbox, or public folders?

i hope i am answering with the correct terminology: they are in personal
folders. when i go into forms management i open personal folders to access
them . though i can't seem to locate a file with the names of the forms on
the drive. so maybe they are in the .pst. this is a standalone system, so as
far as i know, no exchange involved.

i find that if i change forms (folder>properties>use this form> ) apply,
then go back the form that was originally showing, choose it>apply. then it
works for a while. i did this last night. this morning they were gone again.

Are these folders in a .pst file, an Exchange mailbox, or public folders?

I think this is a forms cache problem. Clearing the cache and completely deleting the contents of the Forms folder might fix it. We're hoping for more information on this issue from Microsoft.

sue, thanks for the reply.
are you indicating that i should wait and not do anything right now? or
delete frmcache? if so will i lose the forms? is there a way to save and
reinstall, or will restoring the .pst file take care of this?

i did a search of ms kb. seems there was problem with frmcache in the ol2k
version. funny, this wasn't an issue for the first week of using ol03.

deleting the contents of the Forms folder might fix it. We're hoping for

i went ahead and deleted (renamed and moved, actually, to be safe) the
frmcache.dat folder from local settings\ap data\microsoft\forms. seems to
have regenerated itself. we'll see what happens.

Yes, there are other people having forms cache issues. As I said earlier, we're hoping to get more info soon from Microsoft on this.
