Another issue with OL2000 that just started to occur. Have run the scanpst
to fix inbox problems. When I want to create a new message and add name of
recipient(s), I now get an error message saying that the person has no e-mail
address. Yes, the e-mail address is missing in the address book. So, we go
to contacts to find the person and there is no e-mail address in the contact
window (after opening the contact), BUT we can see the e-mail address in the
window of the contacts (that is the item you double click on to look at the
contact information). We can copy the e-mail address from the contact list
screen, then double click the contact and add the e-mail address into the
contact and it looks fine then. The e-mail address then also appears in the
address book for that person. Since my user has MANY contacts, we're trying
to figure out how to fix this issue in a most efficient manner - I've tried
looking at a copy of a previous(a version from a few days ago) pst file (by
doing a file, open), hoping that the e-mail addresses are in the contacts
and/or address file so I can export that list into the current pst file, but,
so far, the previous pst file also has the contacts "messed up."
Thanks for any ideas?!
