Hi,
After upgrading to SP3 and then the Dec/18 '02 patch described in KB
811167, I still have 100% CPU utilization in Outlook. (Not conducive
to working on batteries
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;811167&Product=out2K
Checking I see that only the native foreign language version of the
file OMINT.DLL was updated, and that the English version in
...\mapi\1033\omint.dll was not updated. Since I use an English
interface of course I still see the problem.
I tried downloading and installing the english patch, but it refuses
to apply itself ("can't find expected product/version").
1) Any solutions/suggestions?
2) Is there a way to force a downloaded patch to apply itself?
3) Is there a way to extract the omint.dll from the patch, or from the
administrative version MSP file, and install it myself? What
parameters would I need for regsrv32?
Thanks in advance for any help, I am quite desparate, since there is
no easy path back. Restore points won't help, and uninstall/reinstall
is tough due to extensive customization.
