OL2000 on WindowsXP, won't retain password

I have set up a new laptop with 2 users - one is regular
and the other for my VPN. When I use outlook from the
owner rather than VPN profile OL does not retain the
password. As I have to use the Corporate or workgroup
setting on the service options (not sure what will happen
if i change it to internet e-mail only in the owner
profile only) I cannot find a solution on the knowledge
base to correct this - they are all for the internet e-
mail only option.

Any suggestions would help as it is a real pain
