OL2002: Remove Hyperlinks From Plain Text Email

In Outlook 2002, when reading an HTML-formatted message in plain text, all
hyperlinks are retained (e.g., hyperlinks to the images in the original HTML
version) and clickable.

Is there a way to remove the hyperlinks entirely, so that they do not
'clutter' the plain text?

When you look at the raw source of the e-mail, did the sender include 2
MIME parts: one for the HTML formatted copy and another for the text
version? If the user omitted the text version of their message then you
don't have one to look at. If they did include a text MIME part and if
you switch to the plain-text view then you see the text version, not the
HTML version.

Thanks for your help.

The plain text versions include hyperlinks for all the images.
