OL2003 autoentry Office documents missing

I have set Journal in OL2003 to record activity with all office documents (checked options for Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word in Tools/Options/Journal Options), yet no entries ever appear. This worked very routinely for me when I had OL2002.
