OL2007 can not set as default

It says it is. IE 7 says it is. The registry says it is. XP SP 2 and IE
7.0.5730.11

Yet when I want to send an email it defaults to Eudora.

I use OL for business mail and Eudora for personal mail. Compliance doesn't
want more than the company mail address in OL. Who am I to argue.

Any suggestions?

How about the mailto file type? What's it set to use? How are you
initiating the new message?

Thanks, I didn't think of the mailto.

In this instance I am using the "send to" option on the file and choosing
email recipient.

RegEdit and manually reconfigure the entries?
